Dorset’s CCGs are planning to merge Bournemouth and Poole Hospital’s as soon as next year. They are also planning to get rid of Poole’s maternity unit and A&E department, making it difficult for those who live furthest away from Bournemouth.
I spoke to Thelma Deacon, a campaigner for the group Defend Dorset NHS, about why they believe this is a bad idea.
