A Contested Life

December 14, 2018 by Kerry Martin Leave a Comment

A Contested Life is a TV documentary exploring what life is like living with the chronic pain conditions, Fibromyalgia and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS).

Kerry investigates what life is like for Amie Day and Isabelle Book who suffer with these invisible disabilities. Both conditions have unclear and subjective diagnostic guidelines so as well as being misunderstood because of how they look on the outside, they also lack the backing of a definitive medical diagnosis. These women tell their personal stories about not being believed and how this has impacted them and the way in which they go about their everyday lives.

It will also explore how having these illnesses influences their active lifestyles and hobbies.
