A Teachers’ Pain – MMP Radio Documentary

December 14, 2018 by GopikaMadhusoodanan Leave a Comment

A radio documentary highlighting the rising issue of school violence against teachers in the UK.

Without a doubt, feeling safe at work and free from the threat of physical (and emotional) harm has to be an essential part of being able to do the job of teaching to the best of our capabilities. It seems perfectly logical that if we feel under threat our work may suffer.

Yet teachers are at risk. Almost half of school support staff suffer abuse or violence at school.

This documentary explore why this happens and what can we do to make our schools safer.
