Volunteer fair hosted by Poole Borough Council

January 14, 2019 by subeditor1 Leave a Comment

Poole Borough Council is hosting a volunteer fair this week in the hope that it will encourage people to give their free time to help charities.

Running daily from 9:30am-4pm until the 17th, attendees can expect to find stalls from over fifty charities all offering different opportunities ranging from shop work, to working with the elderly.

The fair is being hosted at the Eco Hub in the Dolphin Centre, Poole.

Gill Harris from volunteering Poole spoke to Buzz and emphasised the benefits of volunteering, including getting to interact with people and improving CV’s which in turn will lead to better work prospects.

The event is open to people of all ages young and old and has something to meet everyone’s tastes.
