‘Beast from the East’ set for return to Dorset

January 18, 2019 by Sub Editor Leave a Comment

The current cold spell is not expecting to make a departure anytime soon, according to the Dorset Snow Twitter account.

Although not as late in the year like its’ 2018 counterpart, the ‘Beast from the East’ is set to make a return, and bring some snow to the south coastal region.

Easterly winds with cold temperatures were previously predicted for the Dorset area by the end of the month, but now the winds are looking likely for the middle of next week.

Dorset Snow said: “We could be in dreamland” by the end of the month, and stated that we can expect “freezing cold days” and that there is a “constant snow risk” throughout January.

The Met Office have indicated freezing cold temperatures for next week with lows of 0 degrees across Bournemouth and Poole.
