Twitter releases report after privacy setting was turned off for Android users

Twitter have released a report today after it was discovered that certain Android users “Protect your Tweets” setting was disabled if a change was made to the account between November 3, 2014, and January 14, 2019.

Twitter repaired the issue on the 14th January 2019 and have notified accounts they know were affected.

The setting has now been turned back on for Android users but Twitter recommends that users check their privacy settings to adjust them to their preferences.
