Bournemouth public express opinions on new vaping report

December 5, 2018 by Clare Stephenson Leave a Comment

The All- Party Parliamentary group for Vaping released a report stating that “new policies should be introduced to make vaping more acceptable”, supporting the campaign that vaping should be permitted in the workplace.

Based on this report, the Bournemouth public provided their opinions to the following questions:

“Do you think that vaping is as anti-social as smoking, and do you think it is acceptable to vape in confined public spaces?”

“Do you think this encouragement to vape in the workplace will reduce the number of smokers?”

“Even though I vape, it shouldn’t be allowed. I work with children, so I don’t think it’s a good idea at all. If you want to do it, go outside.”

“I think that it will. It is a lot healthier for you. It’s still unhealthy but it’s a lot better than smoking.”

“I don’t think it’s acceptable to do it (vaping) in close spaces but it does seem less anti-social than smoking. You don’t get that waft of smoke as you walk past a vaper than a smoker.”

“As an ex-smoker, I think it’s acceptable. It’s gotten too PC saying we can’t do this, we can’t do that.”

“I don’t think anyone is interested in what they (Parliamentary groups) have to say. The public aren’t looking to them for guidance.”
