There’s been a lot of controversy surrounding HRT since a 2002 report linked the treatment with a heightened risk of breast cancer.
A lot of women are prescribed the treatment and are wary of it, some even coming off it completely. The BBC documentary, The Truth About The Menopause detailed concerns about the treatment and spoke to professionals about the risks and benefits.
