Sandbanks Ferry works “progressing” after being out of action for ten weeks

January 7, 2019 by Sub Editor Leave a Comment

The Sandbanks Ferry could be offering a normal service this week after being suspended ten weeks ago.

The ferry operators website states: “The works on the ferry are progressing well and we hope to have completed them later next week (week commencing 07/01/19).”

The route connects Bournemouth and Poole to Swanage, so without the Sandbanks ferry residents have to drive the long way around and local businesses have been affected.

Retailers have been worried about Swanage being quiet over what should be the busy Christmas period.
