World Dance Championships come to Bournemouth tomorrow

Get your dancing shoes on – the first day of the UK Open to the World Dance Championships will be hitting Bournemouth tomorrow.

Dancers will be competing for victory tomorrow in the first round of competitions at the Bournemouth International Centre.

Organised by Dance News Limited, the ‘Rising Stars’ Championships kick off the next three days of competition in the Windsor Hall.

Ballroom and Latin dancers will be competing for the titles of Professional Rising Star Ballroom Championship, Professional Rising Star Latin Championship, Amateur Rising Star Ballroom Championship and Amateur Rising Star Latin Championship.

The couples will be narrowed down each round until a winner is decided.

Ballroom dancer and head judge on Strictly Come Dancing, Shirley Ballas, will be judging the Rising Star Latin category, along with professional dancers Darren Bennett and Klaus Kongsdal.

Tickets to watch the event are available from the Bournemouth International Centre box office.
