Eddie Howe: “I’ve got to get fit for the charity match.”

January 18, 2019 by Sub Editor Leave a Comment

Cherries manager Eddie Howe says he will have to get fit and running in preparation for a charity match he will be playing in.

The AFC Bournemouth boss will have his feet on the pitch once again in May for a Cherries Legends XI vs Armed Forces XI game, in honour for the John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation (JTYAF).

The JTYAF was set up in John Thornton’s memory, a 22-year-old Royal Marines commando who was tragically killed in 2008 whilst on patrol in Afghanistan.

Howe will be alongside a team made up of Bournemouth veterans and former players, and the match takes place at Wimborne Town FC on Monday 6th May.
