England crowned World Champions after Super Over perplexity

Ben Stokes tallied an outstanding 84 runs as England overcame New Zealand at Lords to win the Cricket World Cup in a mesmerizing final day thriller.

Stokes’ brilliant innings totaling 84 not out saw England climb back from an 86-4 deficit and tie New Zealand’s 241 runs; despite the revival looking highly unlikely with England requiring 15 runs from the final four balls.

Jos Buttler and Stokes respectively racked up 15 runs from Trent Boult’s Super Over, hitting a boundary each to pile the pressure on the Kiwi’s come the rotation.
